Metallurgical Conference 2023 (METCON 2023)

The Metallurgical Conference (METCON) is a technical conference organized by the Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines (SMEP)

. This biennial event for Metallurgical Engineers is directed at metallurgical engineers, mining/mineral processors, materials engineers, metal and metal concentrates producers, plant manufacturers, equipment suppliers and service providers as well as members of universities and consultants.

PMRC 422.1 Comminution Circuit Design and Capex/Opex Estimation

This PMRC training course hosted by the SMEP will enable participants to understand the principles of design for crushing and grinding circuits, and will enable participants to discuss the impact of comminution circuit capex and opex estimates on mineral project economics.

The Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines (SMEP) would like to inform you that the Metallurgical Conference 2025 (METCON 2025) will be held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, from October 24 to 26, 2025. The conference theme is “The Future of Metals and Minerals in the Philippines.”

METCON 2025 discusses issues related to the economy of Nickel production, Metal recycling, Environmental Remediation, and Current Technological Innovations and Practices associated with the metals and minerals industries. By exploring specific topics, with discussions led by key leaders in both industry and academia, we hope to position our natural resources for the future.
